What a sight to see these incredible crimson-pink magnolias against a blue-blue sky, just gorgeous! I just had to paint them! I chose acrylics with some gesso to add texture. It is also available as a giclee reproduction of the highest standard. Sometimes it's hard to tell the giclee against the original! It's been so nice being back in the studio again! I had so many ideas and mediums to explore, and I'm pleased to say I'm happy with the results! Some took me back to our Tassie holiday where I collected a bank of images, as of course Tassie never disappoints - it's so beautiful. I could still remember the wonderful feelings and experiences of being there. Some images and concepts were right in my "own backyard" such as these stunning magnolias, which are just the most magnificent subject!

As you may know I love being in the great outdoors, and particularly walking on a beautiful beach! The north of Tasmania is spectacular, and known for it’s incredible sunrises! When I visited Tassie last year I couldn't get over the beauty! Wow! Can't wait to get back there - it's an artist's paradise!!!

Coles Bay in Tasmania is stunningly beautiful with its turquoise green water and wind swept beaches. After visiting this time last year I was so moved by the scenery I was determined to paint it. Anzac Day, 25 April, is a special day of remembrance. Even though we can't gather as we normally do, communities have come up with lovely ideas such as holding a candle in our own home driveway at dawn.  Think about how you will remember those who have fallen.
